Peace is on the horizon

The thirst for power is quenched
When we choose to drink deeply
The healing waters from the river of gentleness

The need for control is lost
By choosing to stand firmly
On the ground of our own innate freedom

The seemingly never-ending quest for solutions
Is put to rest when we learn to
Express compassion towards all life on this planet

Choosing to put aside all agendas
Allowing ourselves to love and be loved
Causes the world of peace to rise on the near horizon
As assuredly as the stars light the night sky
