Miasma

~ Miasma ~

'Round and 'round, I spin
Holding high my staff of willow, root and burl
A Magic powerful I now begin

Cast and call three times I whirl
As the sacred fires consume me from within
From blazing heart a mighty spell I unfurl

A unholy miasma must now vanish
An ancient fear I now banish

From my heart these words now flow
Casting now this charm of making
For all ears to hear and hearts to know
Now is the time of our great awakening

The raiment of suffering we freely strip
In our nakedness the curse of fear now breaking
Violence, hatred and greed, hear me, Now. Release your grip!
No longer slaves, your meal of tears no longer are we partaking!

Books and Gods encouraged us to kill
Centuries of murder, rivers of our own blood flowing
Your spell of madness is now broken. Hear we not your fearful shill.
The path of Forgiveness and Love has entered our knowing

Care for Neighbors and World like a new and Tender Lover
Healing and Abundance for each other we are bringing
An ancient mystery we happily discover
Our new world of peace has been here since the beginning

There is however, a particular kind rain at the Oregon coast, specifically in Newport Oregon, when wind and rain combine, such that, within a half a mile of the coast that it will rain in a curious sideways fashion. As if the world had been tilted ninety degrees. This horizontal rain has its own beauty, but after three straight days of it, I too was ready for some change. It was, after all, the second week of June. Nearly summer. I was jittery. Jumpy. Though not a coffee drinker, which I know in Oregon, is just plain wrong, but nevertheless, it was like I was on my fifth double mochaccino. Whatever that is. I needed to get out of the hous...

For someone special

The song of your voice echos in my heart, each time I say your name. I see two elder tress. Over time we have grown close together, each in our own different part of the Great forest. The leaves and the tiniest of our branches have discovered each other. It will take time for our branches to fully intertwine. I want to savor and enjoy each moment of that with, YOU!
