Cold

At the moment I feel cold.
By allowing myself
To fully experience the bitterness,
.......................................................I feel it moving through me

Like the freezing rain and fog outside my window.
To do otherwise,
This tormented and twisted bitterness
Would surely enslave
.......................................................my soul.

So very cold.

For someone special

The song of your voice echos in my heart, each time I say your name. I see two elder tress. Over time we have grown close together, each in our own different part of the Great forest. The leaves and the tiniest of our branches have discovered each other. It will take time for our branches to fully intertwine. I want to savor and enjoy each moment of that with, YOU!

Metric or Imperial Poem version

Metric or Imperial It is those experiences with the infinite, those divine moments that continue to bless us and the world around us. Any attempt to contain them or make our experience of the Divine or that of another conform to some predetermined standard only diminishes the blessed gift we receive and our ability to share that gift with others. The Divine experience is neither imperial or metric. Does it really make sense to try and measure something that is infinite? Our appreciation and experience of beauty and love is not improved by the search for dividers that mark out the points of beauty, the yardstick that calculates compassion, or the measured flask that dispenses the correct amount of love. There is no protractor precise enough or tape measure long enough to describe all the Divine and Infinite beauty that surrounds us, flows through us and fills us with each breath we take. Together, let us rejoice in this.
