Miasma

~ Miasma ~ 'Round and 'round, I spin Holding high my staff of willow, root and burl A Magic powerful I now begin Cast and call three times I whirl As the sacred fires consume me from within From blazing heart a mighty spell I unfurl A unholy miasma must now vanish An ancient fear I now banish From my heart these words now flow Casting now this charm of making For all ears to hear and hearts to know Now is the time of our great awakening The raiment of suffering we freely strip In our nakedness the curse of fear now breaking Violence, hatred and greed, hear me, Now. Release your grip! No longer slaves, your meal of tears no longer are we partaking! Books and Gods encouraged us to kill Centuries of murder, rivers of our own blood flowing Your spell of madness is now broken. Hear we not your fearful shill. The path of Forgiveness and Love has entered our knowing Care for Neighbors and World like a new and Tender Lover Healing and Abundance for each other we are bringing An ancient...

Why Om Thunders

Most of you know me here from my poetry, but I thought it time, with all that is happening here that I would post more personal stuff about me. First, why the name Omthunders? Well, in some traditions the sound of Om, often spelled, Aum, is considered the first sound made when the multiverse was made. About 10 or 11 years ago I was meditating on this idea of a first sound and it dawned on me that any sound, small or large, that arises out of total silence would be quite loud or even "thunderous". Not long after that I was looking for a user name, and, Omthunders, popped into my head. I choose not to use the traditional spelling of Aum as I wanted my user-name to reflect the idea of the first sound and not imply that I am the first sound. The name has worked out well as a user-name as I have yet to see those wonderful words "Sorry that user-name is unavailable". I have other names as well. The two notable ones are "Pema Tashi" given to me by a Tibeten Lama ...

A trail of Moon dust

A Trail of Moon dust She calls to me with tenderness and longing in her voice. I answer Her beauty with total surrender, She completes me, body and soul. In this union, the passionate merging of Infinite and Mortal. Her Words, more delicate than dew drops move through me, powerful as the fall thunderstorm. Molding and shaping me into heart, body and soul of whatever form is most pleasing to Her. My ears her lips caress Her gentle voice quietly whispering these words I now write. "Until next time,... Rainbow" She departs leaving a trail of Moon dust behind. My heart calls to Her with tender longing "When will you return?" Sing me your song, Rainbow, your melody and mine are the same, in the next breath I will be there.

Tenderness

Tenderness Goddess holds me tenderly all night long, and holds my hand walking through tulip gardens during the day. Can it get any better than this? A whisper in my ear "I don't know...can it?" so close feeling her warm breath almost wet on my ear "Yes, Rainbow, it can!"

Metric or Imperial Poem version

Metric or Imperial It is those experiences with the infinite, those divine moments that continue to bless us and the world around us. Any attempt to contain them or make our experience of the Divine or that of another conform to some predetermined standard only diminishes the blessed gift we receive and our ability to share that gift with others. The Divine experience is neither imperial or metric. Does it really make sense to try and measure something that is infinite? Our appreciation and experience of beauty and love is not improved by the search for dividers that mark out the points of beauty, the yardstick that calculates compassion, or the measured flask that dispenses the correct amount of love. There is no protractor precise enough or tape measure long enough to describe all the Divine and Infinite beauty that surrounds us, flows through us and fills us with each breath we take. Together, let us rejoice in this.

I am better?

I am better than you? My holy book is better Than your holy book You can plainly see Right there in the red letter It even says so in verse thirty-three See things my way, you will fare better My God is bigger Than your God of old My holy book says it’s true I am a king and you are a beggar So do as you’re told If you know what’s good for you My cleric is better Than your cleric My children are All willing to die He has promised them A dozen virgins in the sky My country is better Than your country My country is better it’s true The media tells the government’s lies But hey, don’t criticize! Or you’ll disappear too! Our weapons are bigger Than your weapons For mass destruction they’ll do If you’re a rouge state We’ll over compensate And use our weapons on you Our profit is more Important than you are The holy mad cow of corporate greed Another nation has been freed Tens of thousands are dead The stock market is up, the media said Kill all the infidels Those who are different must die T...
